    Description

    Seeking compassionate individuals to serve on our nonprofit's board as IT Director. Help shape our strategic direction, expand our reach, and advocate for psychological first aid and humanitarian relief.

    As a Board Member Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring that our services align with our core values of empathy, compassion, and unconditional love. Your expertise, insights, and commitment will help us reach more individuals in need, providing them with the support and care they deserve during times of crisis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership and oversight on the organization’s technology strategy.
    • Advise on IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data privacy to ensure compliance and efficiency.
    • Support the board and staff in evaluating and adopting cost-effective digital tools (CRM, donor management systems, virtual learning platforms, etc.).
    • Oversee policies related to technology use, data protection, and digital accessibility.
    • Offer guidance on website, social media platforms, and digital presence for outreach and fundraising.
    • Assist in planning for disaster recovery, data backup, and IT risk management.
    • Leverage professional expertise and networks to connect the organization with technology partners and resources.
    • Attend board meetings and actively participate in discussions.
    • Serve as a resource for staff and fellow board members on technology-related issues.
    • Promote innovation while ensuring security and cost-effectiveness.

    Qualifications:

    • 5 years of professional experience in IT management, cybersecurity, digital strategy, or related field.
    • Understanding of nonprofit technology needs and constraints.
    • Ability to think strategically about long-term technology planning.
    • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
