    Description

    Volunteer with Rescued Farm Animals!

    Join Our Volunteer Team! 🐴🐷🐔

Thank you for your interest in becoming part of Saving Animals & Healing Hearts!

We’re looking for reliable, compassionate, and friendly individuals who love being around animals and enjoy working as part of a team.

    Requirements:

    • Must be 18+ for this role
    • Able to commit to at least one 2.5-hour shift per week
    • Experience is helpful but not required—we’ll train you!

We care for over 80 rescued residents including horses, mini horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, turkeys, a tortoise, and even a peacock. Every shift you volunteer directly helps us provide the love and care they deserve.

We’re excited to be growing and have opened new shifts on both of our animal care teams—perfect for anyone ready to make a difference while spending time with amazing animals.

👉 Ready to help? Send us a message or fill out our volunteer form today!

The Feeding Team has morning and evening shifts available. What to expect: You will be trained on how to prep different types of hay, supplements, and bagged feed. Meal prep for piggy residents includes chopping vegetables, preparing pig pellets, and dispersing them to residents. You will also clean and refill waters, and the best part is getting to work hands-on with the residents!

Care Team: Making sure all of our animals stay healthy includes cleaning stalls and pens, grooming, turning out horses, hand walking animals, and giving special attention, time, and care to all. *If you have experience with specific animals, please let us know!

Grant Writers: Experienced grant writers needed!

Handyman/women services are always needed and greatly appreciated! These services include repairs around the ranch, such as fencing, stalls, pens, and gates as needed, building new pens and housing, securing current ones, and welding repairs.

All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (boots are recommended, especially during the rainy weather season) to enter the sanctuary. Please bring your own drinking water and dress appropriately for the weather, whether rain or shine; you will get dirty (that's just how we roll!). Shifts are available 7 days per week, morning and afternoon. If this all sounds good to you, we would love to hear from you!

We take pride in providing a safe and compassionate environment for all of our rescued animals. Our residents have survived different types of abuse, abandonment, and neglect. This is their home, their safe place, and they come first here. By joining our volunteer team, you are also becoming a part of our rescue family!

Saving Animals & Healing Hearts Inc

Responsible rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned, abused and unwanted animals. Rehome whenever possible ensuring a safe and permanent future life. Provide safe sanctuary when rehoming is detrimental to the well being of the animal. We want to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our volunteers work tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good. Won't you join us?
