Application Screener

Adoption application screeners are one of the most important volunteer jobs in rescue. We need your help!

Do you love cats and kittens? Would you like to be part of an organization dedicated to rescuing those in need of care or life-saving treatment? Are you looking for a way to help without leaving your home?

Loving Care Cat Rescue needs adoption application screeners. Application screeners will take the adoption applications we receive, then confirm home ownership/call landlords, call references, vets and guardians. Once screening is complete, the application will be handed off to the foster for final review and approval. Applications must be turned around within 24-48 hours.

This position is good for people who are available during the day to make and receive phone calls in the Eastern time zone. It requires use of a computer to update our database of applications, and to search for applicant's online presence.

While the position is virtual, we do need our screeners to reside in the continental United States, or have a US-based phone number.

Skills Needed

• Organization and attention to detail
• Exceptional written and oral communication
• Comfort with talking to people to obtain clarification
• Customer service experience preferred
