    Description

    The Urban Community Empowerment Project Inc. (UCEP) is a 501c3, non-profit organization that provides FREE empowerment services to people living in urban communities. Our aim is to encourage and motivate self-esteem and self-determination for people who are striving to get to the next level in their lives. We believe in the potential for personal growth and positive life change. UCEP empowerment services include support groups, workshops, mentoring and one to one life coaching.

    UCEP is seeking to recruit board members for the organization.These positions are non-salary, volunteer positions.If you are someone who would like to make a difference in your community and have a passion to help people, our organization may be the place for you.

    UCEP board members have the unique opportunity to develop community activities in service areas they are personally passionate about.The organization supports community initiatives that empower and motivate positive life change and achievement.

    The term is for 2 years or more, the commitment is to attend one board meeting each month and the desire to affect change in your community by creating community partnerships; and participating in events and activities of your choice.

    Social media Specialist

    Responsibilities

    • Create social media accounts for UCEP on social media platforms
    • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content and promote free services.
    • Create You Tube channel for UCEP services.
    • Work with the Board to establish social media content.
    • Link social media platforms to UCEP website.
    • Train UCEP board to maintain social media accounts and enter content on all UCEP social media platforms.
    • Attend biweekly update meetings with UCEP Board administrators

    Minimum Requirements and skills

    • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
    • Very good consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
    • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
    • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
    • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
    • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
    • Fluency in English
    • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
