Are you a strong communicator who loves connecting with people and telling meaningful stories? South Project is seeking a Public Relations Volunteer to help us share our mission, highlight our programs, and build relationships that grow awareness of our work with young moms and women in the community.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with creating and distributing press releases, newsletters, and community announcements
- Help build and maintain relationships with local media, businesses, and community leaders
- Support outreach efforts for events, workshops, and fundraising initiatives
- Represent South Project in a professional, positive, and welcoming way
- Track outreach efforts and provide updates to the leadership team
You’d Be a Great Fit If You:
- Enjoy writing, storytelling, and sharing impactful messages
- Are organized, dependable, and comfortable reaching out to new contacts
- Have an interest in community building, nonprofits, or public relations
- Can commit a few hours per week (flexible and remote with occasional in-person events)
This is a flexible, volunteer opportunity ideal for someone wanting hands-on public relations experience while making a real difference for women and young moms in Greater Houston.
