Job Summary
The Events Planning Associate is responsible for supporting needs across the events team to ensure seamless scheduling, volunteer management, and task allocation during the events planning process.
Job Tasks
- Research and stay current with educators that might be included in our events.
- Stay current with all sub-committee and other events-related meeting notes.
- Record and schedule tasks requiring coordination between sub-committees.
- Relay tasks and relevant information to the appropriate sub-committees.
- Work with sub-committee chairs to address task and scheduling needs.
- Collaborate closely with and report to the Events Coordinator.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Events Coordinator.
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Technological skills including familiarity with Google Workspace Applications
- Familiarity with Airtable or ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in a positive and encouraging manner
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, diverse, international team environment
- Team communication using Slack
- Availability to volunteer 3-5 hours per week, with increased availability as the conference approaches.
