Rake Leaves for Woburn Seniors - Seeking 200 Volunteers!
SCI is excited to host our annual SCI Leaf Raking Volunteer Event this November! This event is devoted to helping Woburn Seniors rake leaves through the assistance of volunteers. This year, SCI’s youth leaders in the Leaders for Everyone’s Tomorrow program will collaborate with SCI to coordinate the program.
SCI is seeking 200 volunteers of all ages to participate in this event and aid local Seniors throughout Woburn. Not only is this the perfect opportunity to serve as an active member of the community, but you can also earn school community service hours!
The event will take place on Saturday, November 15th, with shifts available in the morning and afternoon. Volunteer check-in times are 9AM-10AM and 12PM-1PM. Sign up today as an individual, group, or with friends at bit.ly/Leaf-Raking-25. If you have questions or concerns, contact SCI Community Engagement and Program Coordinator, Vitalie Memeus, at vmemeus@socialcapitalinc.org.
If you are a Woburn Senior or know of any that may need help, please reach out to the Woburn Senior Center by November 3rd. You can call directly at (781)-897-5960 or email aobrien@cityofwoburn.com.
All volunteers must check-in at the Woburn Senior Center on Saturday, November 15 to receive their housing assignment for their leaf raking shift.
Sign up for the in-person volunteer opportunity at bit.ly/Leaf-Raking-25.
