    Description

    Volunteer Translator Needed – CalFresh Presentation for Seniors (Mandarin)

    We’re looking for a volunteer translator to assist at an upcoming presentation about CalFresh (also known as EBT, SNAP, or food stamps) for Mandarin-speaking senior community members.

    Details:

    • Date: Wednesday, January 8th, 2026
    • Time: 2:15 PM – 3:30 PM
    • Location: Pleasanton, CA
    • Audience: Seniors interested in learning about CalFresh

    Role:

    • Translate the presentation live from English to Mandarin
    • Help seniors understand how to sign up for CalFresh and access assistance
    • Assist attendees with the sign-up sheet after the presentation if needed

    About the Presentation:

    • 20-minute slideshow with Q&A afterward (10–15 minutes)
    • Covers what CalFresh is, how to apply, and available support
    • Presented on a large screen in front of the audience

    Requirements:

    • Fluent in Mandarin and English
    • Comfortable speaking in front of a small audience of seniors
    • Available on January 8th from 2:15 PM – 3:30 PM
