Patient Support Volunteers are vital to providing the care and support the patient and family need.
Companion Visits volunteers provide conversation, presence, and support to patients and families. They visit in homes, Assisted Living facilities, and Hospice Houses.
End-of-life doulas provide education and support to patients and families. They also help with vigils and the patient's legacy. Training is provided.
Music Volunteers provide music in patient rooms, lobbies, and Assisted Living facilities. They bring comfort in a very special way.
Pet Peace of Mind Volunteers assist with the care of the patient’s pets so that their beloved pet can stay with them as long as possible. Volunteers walk pets, brush them, play ball, scoop litter boxes, feed them, and fill their water.
Pet Visitors bring their certified therapy pets to visit patients, providing companionship and connection that can sometimes be lost as a patient nears the end of life.
Respite volunteers provide companionship to the patient and time for the caregiver's self-care.
Spiritual Care volunteers are assigned by chaplains to provide extra support for the spiritual needs of patients & families.
Veteran-to-Veteran assignments link veterans with veteran volunteers who can share their military perspectives and stories.
Veterans Recognition Ceremonies honor our veterans who served our great country honorably. It is sometimes the last celebration a family has with their veteran loved one.
