    Volunteer Opportunity: Lead the Way as our Environmental Educational Event Coordinator!

    About Us:

    Join the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, where we're dedicated to conservation, education, and community engagement. Our Chapter House serves as a hub for environmental awareness, hosting various events, meetings, and programs.

    Position Overview:

    We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to take charge as our Volunteer Environmental Educational Event Coordinator. This pivotal role involves planning and executing educational events aimed at raising environmental awareness and engaging the community in conservation efforts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate all aspects of environmental educational events, including venue selection, scheduling, and logistics.
    • Develop engaging educational content, presentations, workshops, and activities aligned with event objectives.
    • Create and implement marketing strategies to promote events, including managing social media campaigns and outreach efforts.
    • Ensure active participant engagement through interactive sessions, discussions, and hands-on activities.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to maximize event impact.
    • Coordinate logistics such as transportation, catering, equipment, and signage.
    • Manage event budget, track expenses, and secure sponsorships or grants as needed.
    • Collect feedback to evaluate event effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Follow up with participants to maintain engagement and relationships for future initiatives.
    • Ensure events align with environmental principles of sustainability and Leave No Trace.
