Assist students with understanding key concepts and developing test-taking strategies

Provide individual or small group instruction and support

Monitor student progress and provide feedback and encouragement

Collaborate with program staff to align instruction with GED curriculum standards

Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Help identify students who may need additional support or resources

Attend occasional volunteer meetings or trainings, if applicable

    Qualifications:

Former educator, retired teacher, or individual with strong teaching/tutoring experience (especially with adult learners)

Familiarity with GED subject matter and exam structure (or willingness to learn)

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting adult learners

Ability to work independently and manage small groups

Experience working with diverse populations is a plus

    Training & Support:
