Program Volunteers

Pegasus is looking for volunteers to work with our students and horses as sidewalkers and leaders in our riding lesson programs. Sidewalkers primarily work with our participants, and leaders primarily work with our horses. Training is provided. We offer further training for volunteers interested in assisting in our barn and with our herd. Our minimum age is 14, and we ask for a commitment of the same day and time each week during our program session. We offer four sessions (winter, spring, summer and fall) and they vary from 6 weeks to 10 weeks in duration. Most lessons take place during after-school hours and on Saturdays. We also offer unmounted daytime programs during the week.
