    Volunteers will participate in multiple rounds of Mock Interview sessions. Volunteers are IT/Tech professionals, App Development or other business professionals with over 3 years of experience in these industries.

    Description

    Goal of the Event: The goal of the Speed Networking is to support students in NPower’s App Development program. This event provides students with the opportunity to have multiple rounds of networking and elevator pitching with IT/Tech, business, App Development professionals who have 3+ years of professional experience.

    Event Description: Join us for this Speed Networking event, where you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping NPower students prepare for their careers in tech. During this event, volunteers will engage students in multiple rounds of networking with groups of students. Your engagement will help students refine their networking skills and build confidence.

    Volunteer Role & Time Commitment:

    • Volunteers are IT/Tech, app development, or business professionals with over 3 years of experience in these industries.
    • Volunteers will participate in multiple rounds of "round-robin" style networking and elevator pitching with students.
    • Volunteers will meet with approximately 10 trainees in breakout rooms, rotating every 15 minutes.
    • Volunteer Orientation and Resources: Volunteers are asked to review prep materials, containing an overview and agenda, to prepare for the event.
