Essay Judges will read two types of essays on prompts given to students and their resume. The long essay is 1-page long (650 max. words) on a topic of their choosing (we give them 6 prompts to choose from) and the short essay is about 4 paragraphs long (250 max. words); they have three topics to choose from. Volunteers will have a rubric to assess the materials of the competition. We are giving away $1000 and $500 for scholarships to those who run in the first and second place. You will get a chance to also give them feedback on things they can do to write winning essays for college and to improve their resumes. You have one week to review the materials of three students assigned to you between Dec 3 through December 13. Thank you for your interest!
