    Description

    Because You Have Passion, Energy and Time to Improve Your Community! And You Want to Use IT!

    Because you have the energy, passion and time to make our community better, you want a volunteer opportunity that can make that happen. Here's how! Volunteers with Services for the Blind take walks, go out for coffee, visit the park or try the farmer's market and when they do, they take along a neighbor who is no longer able to drive and struggles with seeing stairs and curbs. We call it community inclusion, but you call it being a good neighbor. So, become a good neighbor today and sign up to be a BESB volunteer, we will give you some training and confidence, then connect you with a neighbor. Afterward, we will provide guidance and gratitude after you are matched so you can enjoy this great opportunity and feel supported, valued and like the superstar that you are!

    Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

    • a desire to help others;
    • a pleasant demeanor;
