You’re invited to participate in Oceans of Stories, A Festival for Children, Sunday November 9, at Plaza Frida, 4001 West 65th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, from 3 until 5:00 p.m. This free event is jointly sponsored by the Partnership for Community Enrichment; Little Free Library, and Plaza Frida. It is possible that we will have more than 300 families in attendance.
This event is a celebration of Children’s Book Week. We are creating a magical experience for children and their parents with Oceans of Stories as the theme. The goal of the event is to celebrate books, the stories they tell, and the lives they change.
Here you will find a stilt walker, juggler and hula hooper and young Folklorico dancers. A balloon artist will make toys for the kids. Flurffy, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts’ mascot will be a special guest, as will Craig O’Neill. There will be crafts and storytellers, a bouncy house, and temporary ocean-themed tattoos.
Volunteers are needed to help support the many exciting activities during the event. Check out the volunteer roles below, and sign up to help out and enjoy the event. Volunteers may sign up for more than one shift even if they overlap slightly.
Parking will be available on site. Water will be provided and food trucks and restaurants will be available at the venue. Please try to check in fifteen minutes prior to your shift!
Sign up on the Team LFL volunteer hub. If this is your first time volunteering with Little Free Library, you will need to create an account in our volunteer hub.
