About the event
Switchpoint Thrift Store
More Than a Store. A Second Chance.
The Switchpoint Thrift Store helps fund critical programs at our Homeless Shelter and Community Resource Center, while also offering hands-on job training and affordable goods to our community. Every donation, every purchase, and every hour of volunteer service helps change lives.
We don’t just sell items—we create opportunities. Through an 8-week job skills program, we help individuals build confidence, learn retail operations, and take meaningful steps toward employment. At the same time, we give new life to donated items and make them available at prices everyone can afford.
Donate. Shop. Volunteer. Be the shift.
What will volunteers do?
Volunteer at the Switchpoint Thrift Store
Our thrift store is more than a retail space—it’s a training ground, a funding source, and a community hub. Volunteers keep it running strong.
As a floor attendant, you may help accept donations, sort items, stock shelves, tidy the sales floor, assist customers, and tag merchandise. Every task you take on supports job training and helps fund housing, food, and resource programs across Switchpoint.
Your time creates impact far beyond the sales floor. Join us and help turn donations into new beginnings.
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Please wear modest clothing that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, a drink/water
