Volunteer Social Media Management

The Volunteer Social Media Manager will help share the heart of The Nest Academy by creating and managing engaging content across our digital platforms. This role plays a key part in keeping our community informed, connected, and inspired by highlighting daily activities, special events, and ongoing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule social media posts that reflect daily life at The Nest Academy
• Capture photos and short videos throughout the school day (classroom activities, projects, events, etc.)
• Assist with writing and sending community update emails about what’s happening at the school
• Help maintain a consistent and positive online presence aligned with The Nest Academy’s mission and values
• Collaborate with staff to identify moments, stories, and updates to share
• Ensure content is respectful, age-appropriate, and privacy-conscious

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Interest or experience in social media management, content creation, or digital storytelling
• Comfortable taking photos and videos using a phone or camera
• Strong written communication skills
• Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or similar (preferred but not required)
• Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
• Passion for education, community engagement, and positive youth environments
