Board Member Responsibilities
Board members of The Murph Foundation are expected to:
- Attend quarterly (virtual) board meetings and special sessions as needed
- Serve as ambassadors for the organization, advocating for the mission and expanding our network
- Participate in occasional committee meetings or strategic planning sessions
- Contribute expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Fundraising: supporting campaigns, grant opportunities, and donor cultivation
- Outreach: increasing visibility, engagement, and community partnerships
- Donor Relations: fostering relationships with current and prospective supporters
- Strategy: providing guidance on organizational growth, program planning, and impact assessment
- Program Design: helping develop, evaluate, and improve programs for maximum effectiveness
- Make an annual financial contribution according to individual capacity (board giving demonstrates commitment and encourages others to give)

- Are passionate about The Murph Foundation’s mission
- Bring professional expertise in at least one of the focus areas above
- Demonstrate strategic thinking, leadership, and collaborative skills
- Have experience in nonprofit governance or are committed to learning about board service
