The Montgomery Farmers Market is a seasonal farmers market located in the City of Montgomery, Ohio. The Board is a volunteer-driven, intregal part of the year-round organizational structure for our state-registerd nonprofit. Board Members provide operational support to the Farmers Market Manager, day-of volunteers, and Market vendors through strategic planning and day-of volunteer opportunities. It is a passionate, working board that meets monthly on the 2nd Monday in the evening, and it requires a commitment of an average 5 hours per week, January through December. Of course, averaging more time per week is welcome depending on the level of responsibility the Board Member(s) choose to take on!
The mission of the Montgomery Farmers’ Market is to connect our community and provide access to local sustainable food growers and producers by hosting a weekly gathering space where we shop for fresh produce and artisanal specialties, experience diverse local flavors, and greet our neighbors.
We are looking for two to three additional Board Members who are interested in supporting us in areas of marketing, grant-writing and/or fundraising, and regulations development. If you are interested, please email our Market Manager Amanda Lukas at montfarmersmkt@gmail.com. Your email should include your name, a brief description of your professional experience, and why you are interested in becoming a Board Member. Please feel welcome to include a link for your Linkedin profile. Thank you for your interest!
