Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain the AI for Farmers mobile app to help farmers access weather forecasts, pest detection, soil health updates, and market prices.
Integrate AI and machine learning tools into the app for real-time farming insights.
Collaborate with the Civicom Aid team, agricultural experts, and community representatives to ensure the app meets farmers’ needs.
Ensure smooth user experience with simple interfaces for rural farmers, including multilingual and offline features.
Regularly test, debug, and update the app to improve performance and security.
Provide training and technical support to local staff and farmer groups.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in mobile app development.
Knowledge of AI/ML integration and APIs.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create apps with user-friendly design for low-literacy users.
Familiarity with offline-first mobile applications and data synchronization in low-connectivity areas.
