    Role Overview

Board members serve as ambassadors, strategists, and active contributors to the organization’s growth and sustainability. In 2025–2026, the Board will place a priority on financial resilience to ensure Ahead of the Rest’s long-term sustainability following a significant loss of funding earlier this year.

Each member will play a vital role in fundraising and financial stewardship while supporting program excellence and community impact.

      • Financial Management: Support the month-end close process and provide financial updates to the board.
    • Mission Support – Serve as an active advocate and ambassador for the organization’s mission, vision, and programs.
    • Event Participation – Assist in planning, promoting, and attending fundraising and community events.
    • Governance & Compliance – Uphold nonprofit governance responsibilities, ensuring alignment with bylaws and legal requirements.
