Description
Few things bring comfort like the unconditional love of a dog. Compassus Hospice is seeking volunteers with certified therapy dogs to visit patients. These visits can reduce stress, ease loneliness, and spark joy for patients and families during tender times.
Volunteers may:
- Visit patients in homes or care facilities with their certified therapy dog
- Encourage gentle interaction such as petting, brushing, or simply sitting together
- Provide companionship that creates peace and connection
