Volunteer Engagement Lead (Remote)
American Red Cross – National Disaster Volunteer Mobilization
As a Volunteer Engagement Lead, you’ll play a key role in empowering volunteers who support disaster response efforts across the country. You’ll guide, coach, and champion virtual volunteers so they feel confident, connected, and ready to serve.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and coach volunteers so they can grow, thrive, and excel in their roles.
- Provide insight on recruitment plans and help strengthen the Volunteer Engagement Cycle.
- Manage volunteer referrals, interviews, and onboarding for virtual teams.
- Ensure volunteers have the resources and information they need to succeed.
- Offer constructive feedback and encourage continuous learning.
- Collaborate for Impact by partnering with the Volunteer
What You Bring
- You’ve successfully led and supported virtual teams.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint) virtual collaboration tools.
- Skilled in virtual onboarding, coaching, and training.
- Passionate about creating positive, meaningful volunteer experiences.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work well with diverse groups.
- Ready to follow American Red Cross and public health guidelines.
- Experience with Volunteer Connection or nonprofit leadership is a plus.
