Gift Shop Clerk & Assistant

Intermountain Health/St. Mary's Regional Hospital volunteers provide retail customer service in the Gift Shop to patients, visitors and staff.

Assigned Duties:

• Welcome and assist customers in selection of gift shop items.
• Operates cash register and credit card machine for all sales.
• Answers the phone and completes phone orders for merchandise.
• Follow procedures for opening and closing the Gift Shop.
• Dust and restock shelves and maintain the cleanliness of the shop.
• Observe for potential shoplifters.
• Completes daily and weekly assigned tasks such as watering plants and checking- in floral arrangements.
• Merchandise and inventory processing.
• Display reconfiguration and design.

Requirements:

• Must pass criminal background check and complete hospital health screening.
• Complete hospital orientation and position training.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Be courteous and respectful toward patients, visitiors, staff and volunteers.
• Represent the hospital core values and mission.
• Able to work without supervision.
• Able to adapt to a changing environment.
• Ability to speak pleasantly on the phone.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work with team members.
• Ability to follow directions.

Other Skills:

Retail experience and cashier experience helpful.

Days & Times Available:

• Monday-Friday: 9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm, 5pm-7pm
• Saturday and Sunday: varies times available

3 shifts available:

• 09:00 to 13:00 MST
• 13:00 to 05:00 MST
• 17:00 to 19:00 MST
