Position Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting and improving the day-to-day operations of the First & Gold Foundation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role helps ensure that internal processes, systems, and workflows run smoothly and efficiently across the organization.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and supporting mission-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Support day-to-day operational functions across programs and departments
- Help develop, document, and improve internal processes and workflows
- Ensure operational tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support the implementation and management of operational tools and systems
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with program, marketing, finance, and development teams
- Support scheduling, logistics, and internal communications
- Assist leadership with operational planning and execution
Compliance & Administrative Support
- Support compliance with organizational policies and procedures
- Assist with record keeping, documentation, and reporting
- Support risk management and operational best practices
Project & Event Support
- Provide operational support for programs, events, and initiatives
- Assist with vendor coordination, materials, and logistics as needed
- Support post-project and post-event follow-up
Qualifications
- Experience in operations, project management, or administrative roles
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Experience with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations preferred
- Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented mindset
Time Commitment
- Approximately 8–10 hours per week
- Flexible schedule; additional availability may be required during peak program or event periods
