    Volunteer Grant Writer – Help Expand Wraparound Services for Underserved Families in Georgia

    Overview:

    Community Connect Services (CCS) is a revitalizing nonprofit based in DeKalb County, Georgia, dedicated to empowering underserved families, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to help us secure funding for our expanding wraparound services and pilot initiatives.

    Role Type:

    Volunteer (Remote or Hybrid – based in Georgia preferred)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with CCS’s mission and programs
    • Draft compelling proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents
    • Collaborate with the Founder/CEO to tailor messaging for specific funders
    • Track deadlines and submission requirements
    • Assist with reporting and stewardship communications as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Strong writing and editing skills
    • Experience with grant writing or nonprofit fundraising preferred
    • Ability to synthesize program goals into persuasive narratives
    • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
    • Passion for community empowerment, trauma-informed care, and grassroots impact

    Impact:

    Your contributions will directly support CCS’s ability to:

    • Launch new programs like We Care (senior digital literacy) and Step into Success: Therapy in a Box (women’s empowerment)
    • Mobilize volunteers and expand outreach in DeKalb and Fulton Counties
    • Provide compassionate, coordinated services to those in crisis
