    Omaha Film Festival Soiree Manager

    Omaha Film Festival - Volunteer Soirée Manager

    Position: Soirée Manager (Festival Parties & Special Events)

    Commitment: March 10-15, 2026 (Festival Week) + Pre-Festival Orientation

    Reports To: Festival Directors & Hospitality Team

    Overview

    The Soirée Manager is a key member of the Omaha Film Festival’s hospitality and events crew. This volunteer will help lead the nightly festival parties and receptions, making sure each soirée runs smoothly, looks great, and captures the celebratory spirit of OFF. It’s a fun, people-centered role for someone who enjoys organizing, problem-solving, and setting the stage for unforgettable festival nights.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Pre-Event

      • Assist with décor, lighting, signage, and theme elements.

      • Coordinate with staff to set up spaces and ensure sponsor visibility.

      • Welcome and assign volunteers to party-specific roles.

    • During Events

      • Act as the point person for volunteers, staff, and guests.

      • Provide hospitality support to filmmakers, sponsors, and VIPs.

      • Keep food, beverages, and supplies stocked and accessible.

      • Support music/entertainment flow and special performances.

      • Monitor cleanliness, safety, and overall guest experience.

    • Post-Event

      • Assist with tear-down and reset of the venue.

      • Organize leftover supplies and décor for reuse.

      • Share feedback with festival staff on successes and improvements.

    Qualifications
    • Friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure.

    • Strong communication and leadership skills.

    • Experience in events, hospitality, or customer service is helpful but not required.

    • Ability to manage volunteers with positivity and flexibility.

    • A love for film, arts, and community gatherings.
