    About the Opportunity:

    Youth Haven Ministries is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to create safe, inclusive spaces for teens—especially those who feel overlooked, anxious, or alone. We are launching a community youth center in West Virginia modeled after our successful outreach in Florida, and we're seeking a licensed attorney or experienced paralegal to volunteer time and expertise in supporting our legal and advocacy needs.

    This is a volunteer role with flexible hours and can be remote. Ideal for professionals passionate about youth justice, nonprofit development, or supporting inclusive faith-based outreach in practical, real-world ways.

    What You'll Do:

    • Review and update legal documents, policies, and contracts (waivers, disclaimers, MOUs, etc.)
    • Advise on liability and risk management for youth programming
    • Assist with nonprofit compliance (501(c)(3), IRS, charitable solicitation, etc.)
    • Review agreements with venues, donors, and partners
    • Optionally consult on youth rights, confidentiality, and safety protocols

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Licensed attorney or certified paralegal (active or retired)
    • Background in nonprofit law, youth advocacy, or liability/risk is helpful (but not required)
    • Ability to offer 2–5 hours/month (flexible and remote-friendly)
    • Aligned with our mission to create safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental spaces for all youth
    • Reliable, collaborative, and values-driven
