    Description

**By Invitation Only** International Child Advancement (ICA) invites motivated students to join our Student Volunteer Program, a virtual opportunity designed in partnership with schools and universities offering community service credit or experiential learning hours.

Volunteers will gain hands-on experience while supporting ICA’s mission to empower underserved children in Buffalo, NY, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) through education, economic empowerment, and mentorship.

Participants can select one of the following focus areas based on their interests and academic background:

    Marketing & Communications

Assist with social media posts, website updates, newsletters, blog content, and presentation design. Students will learn how to create engaging digital content that helps raise awareness for a global cause.

    Health Sciences Research

Conduct research on issues affecting children’s health and well-being in Buffalo and the DRC, including nutrition, mental health, and access to healthcare. Students will strengthen their analytical and critical-thinking skills while contributing to impactful community initiatives.

    Event Planning

Support ICA’s fundraising and community events by researching vendors, coordinating logistics, and assisting in event execution. This track offers experience in teamwork, organization, and real-world event coordination.

    Project Management

Assist with planning and monitoring ICA projects by creating project plans, tracking deliverables, and maintaining progress reports. Students will learn practical skills in time management, organization, and cross-functional collaboration.

    Creative Design & Storytelling

Design digital materials such as flyers, social media graphics, and short videos that highlight ICA’s mission and impact. Ideal for students passionate about art, design, or content creation.

Note: This volunteering opportunity is available by invitation only through ICA’s partnerships with participating schools and universities. Students will receive community service or internship credit through their institution and the opportunity to make a measurable difference in the lives of children in need.
