    Pet Therapy Volunteers to Visit Hospice Patients

    Volunteer Opportunity: Pet Therapy Visits -Do have a certified pet therapy dog?

    Here at Hospice of the Valley we understand that Pet therapy brings such joy and comfort! The unconditional love of friendly certified pet therapy, dogs and cats, helps reduce anxiety, distract from pain, and bring back happy memories. We visit homes, Hospice of the Valley inpatient units, skilled nursing and assisted living centers, group homes, and our pediatric respite home, Ryan House. Dementia care campus.

    Volunteer Requirements:

      • Must be the owner of the dog or cat and have certified as a Pet Therapy animal through Alliance of Therapy Dogs or Pet Partners.
      • Your animal must be up to date on Rabies vaccination.
      • Must have a valid Maricopa or Pima County license. (Dog’s only)
