About U-Saved
U-Saved is a Franco-Ukrainian humanitarian NGO that works closely with those in need to support civilians, healthcare workers and volunteers in Ukraine. We work closely with trusted local actors to deliver direct, rapid and concrete aid where it is most urgently needed.
Supported by a network of committed volunteers, each with their own role to play, U-Saved is not just a chain of solidarity: it is an act of resistance against injustice, violence, and indifference.
Purpose of the Role
The Volunteer Communications & Social Media Officer will strengthen U-Saved's communication and visibility strategy on social media, while contributing to the search for technical, financial and institutional partners and the creation of content tailored to different audiences.
Main Responsibilities
Social Media Management:
- Manage U-Saved social media accounts: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and contribute to the launch of a TikTok.
- Plan and publish content via an editorial calendar.
- Create engaging visuals (posts, stories, reels, carousels, etc.)
- Use Canva in accordance with our graphic charter and colors.
- Harmonize visuals and messages to ensure a consistent identity.
- Monitor statistics and adjust content based on feedback.
Multilingualism and Accessibility:
- Write or adapt content in English (professional level required).
- Use tools such as DeepL or AI to translate certain content into Ukrainian.
- Check the tone and clarity of messages and adapt them to each target audience.
Content Creation and Innovation:
- Propose original ideas to improve visibility and engagement.
- Help write a monthly newsletter based on social media posts.
- Seek out influencers or digital partners to promote U-Saved activities.
- Help monitor digital and humanitarian trends.
Event Support:
- Create visual materials for U-Saved events (invitations, posters, publications).
- Assist with online promotion of conferences, debates, and speeches.
- Participate in occasional in-person events (depending on availability and location).
Partnerships and Fundraising:
- Research and identify technical, financial and institutional partners.
- Conduct strategic monitoring, draft concept notes and presentation materials.
- Prepare partner meetings: project pitches, files, visual aids.
- Support team members in their search for innovative collaborations.
- Create tools or materials that promote the NGO's actions (infographics, mini-reports, web pages, presentations).
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in humanitarian issues, human rights, and international affairs.
- Comfortable with social media and digital communication.
- Proficiency in Canva and other graphic design software.
- Knowledge of WordPress, SEO, newsletters and web tools is a plus.
- Good command of AI tools (e.g., DeepL, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Sense of visual harmony and editorial consistency.
- Professional level of English is essential. If adept at or have knowledge of French or Ukrainian, this is welcomed.
- Creative, curious, rigorous, independent, enthusiastic.
- A plus: experience in writing content for partners or in fundraising.
