Hospice Volunteers provide meaningful support to patients and families facing serious illness. This is not about fixing or rescuing. It is about presence, steadiness, and dignity.
Volunteers may serve in one or more of the following roles:
• Veteran-to-Veteran visits
• Respite support for caregivers
• Tuck-in calls
• Administrative or office support
• Special skill roles (haircare, massage therapy, Reiki, pet therapy, creative arts, etc.)
Responsibilities
• Provide consistent, compassionate support within the scope of hospice care
• Maintain professional boundaries and patient confidentiality
• Document volunteer hours and visit notes as required
• Communicate changes or concerns to hospice staff
• Commit to reliability and respectful service
Qualifications
• Minimum age 18
• Ability to pass background screening
• Completion of orientation and required training
• Emotional maturity and comfort around serious illness
• Dependability and respect for diverse beliefs and cultures
No medical experience is required. We provide training and ongoing support.
