    Description

    Liberando Nuestras Voces is a creative writing and wellness program designed for middle school Latina girls in San Leandro, CA. Through storytelling, visual arts, and self-reflection, students build confidence, cultural pride, and emotional well-being in a culturally affirming space.

    We are seeking Workshop Assistants who are passionate about the arts, Latina empowerment, and working with youth. This is an ideal opportunity for a college student who is curious, dependable, and excited to contribute to a joyful, healing-centered environment.

    We’re Looking for Someone Who:

    • Is a current college student (or recent graduate) based in the Bay Area
    • Has experience working with youth, especially middle schoolers
    • Is passionate about Latinx culture, community care, and the arts
    • Is reliable, communicative, and enthusiastic about learning

    Spanish proficiency and familiarity with culturally sustaining practices are a plus, but not required.

    🌀 Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the lead facilitator during weekly workshops
    • Help prepare materials and set up the creative space
    • Offer encouragement and guidance to students during activities
    • Contribute to a warm, affirming environment rooted in cultural and creative expression

    💵 Compensation:

    Workshop Assistants will receive a $2500 stipend as a token of our appreciation for their valuable contributions. It will be disbursed in two installments, December 2025 and June 2026.
