The Horse Home Check Coordinator and Adoption Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the potential adopters meet the necessary criteria for adopting rescue horses, overseeing home checks and helping the president facilitate a smooth adoption process, Additionally this role involves addressing inquireies and concerns from the public via social media platforms and assiting the marketing director in creating promotional materials for events.
Key Responsibiliteis
- Horse Home Checks - conduct thorough home visits to assess the suitablility of potential adopters living environment for rescue horses
- evaluate each applicatns knowledge, experience, resources, and commitment to horse care
- provide feedback and recommenations based on observations during home checks
maintain detailed records of home check outcomes and share findings with the adoption committee
- Assisting with Adoptions - collaborate with the adoption committee to understand horse profiles and match them with suitable adopters
- organize and facilitate meet and greet sessions between horses and potential adopters
- guide new adopters through the adoption process, ensuring they understan their responsibilities and the resources available to them.
- follow up with adopters post adoption to ensure a successful transition for both the horse and the new owner.
