Marketing and Outreach Committee Volunteer

Join our vibrant team and help amplify the voices of teens who identify as girls! This Girl's Story, a teen girl-produced magazine, seeks passionate volunteers to join our Marketing/Outreach Committee. Your efforts will create awareness of our impactful work and engage a broader audience.

Based in DuPage County, IL - much of the work can be done remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborative Campaigns: Work closely with the Fundraising Committee to develop and implement engaging marketing campaigns that promote our mission and events.
• Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and post content on our social media platforms to boost visibility and engagement.
• Event Promotion: Assist in marketing and promoting events to ensure maximum participation and success.
• Subscription Growth: Develop strategies to increase magazine subscriptions and reach more readers.
• Content Recruitment: Encourage content submissions from teens who identify as girls and are in high school or college up to age 19.
• Volunteer Recruitment: Help recruit volunteer editorial team members from the teen community.
• Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with partners, supporters, and the community to foster engagement and support.

Qualifications:

• Passion for supporting teens who identify as girls and amplifying their voices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for developing marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Experience with social media platforms and content creation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic understanding of marketing principles.

Time Commitment:

• Minimum of 2 hours per month, flexible scheduling.
• Participation in regular committee meetings (frequency to be determined).
