    Description

    We are seeking a creative and organized volunteer to support our online presence and storytelling. The Social Media Coordinator will help develop and share engaging content that highlights our programs, literacy initiatives, and community impact. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about reading, education, and social good, and who enjoys connecting with audiences through digital platforms.

    Responsibilities

      • Create 2–3 social media posts per week across platforms
      • Develop content aligned with our mission, including literacy tips, book highlights, volunteer stories, and reading-related celebrations
      • Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style
      • Collaborate with the Executive Director and team for key campaigns and events

    Qualifications

      • Experience or strong interest in social media management, communications, or marketing
      • Excellent writing and storytelling skills
      • Passion for literacy, reading, and educational equity
      • Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools (helpful but not required)
      • Knowledge of elementary literacy or children’s books is a plus
      • Reliable, responsive, and able to dedicate about one hour per week
