    Description

    Ship Maintenance Volunteers

If you love to tinker with a paintbrush, a broom or brush, mop, water hoses, scrappers, or with engines, parts, or other mechanical equipment, you are welcome to join our maintenance volunteer team at USS Potomac, Franklin D. Roosevelt's historic presidential yacht! Our maintenance team, which includes both men and women, helps keep this National Historic Landmark, used by FDR from 1936 to 1945 in top operational condition and looking great for the general public for our cruises, private charters, student cruises, and dockside tours. No history background needed! All volunteers earn guest passes for themselves, and friends and family members, based on number of hours volunteered.
