    Description

    Recreation Volunteer

    Do you enjoy making a difference in your community and supporting individuals of all abilities? We're looking for compassionate, enthusiastic volunteers to assist participants during our engaging recreation and camp activities.

    As a Volunteer Support Worker, you will help ensure that all participants can take part in inclusive, meaningful activities while fostering social connections with peers and staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide one-on-one or small group support to participants during activities
    • Assist with:
      • Hand-over-hand physical support
      • Providing verbal directions and redirections
      • Modeling and demonstrating activities
      • Encouraging and prompting social interaction
    • Follow the guidance of recreation instructors and staff to help meet individual needs
    • Help create a fun, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone
