Join us for the BIGGEST Member event of the year!
On Saturday, March 14, 2026, New Horizons will walk and roll to empower individuals with special needs (age 16 and older) to reach their full potential and fulfill their dreams!
We are currently seeking volunteers who will support us with this spectacular community event, in a variety of ways:
- Check in & Registration
- Welcome attendees and direct them to appropriate line
- Pre-registered, Walk-in, Residential, etc.
- Check in guests, verify registration information (name, payment, waiver, t-shirt size)
- Distribute t-shirts and event schedule
- Assist with walk-in registrations
- Answer basic event questions (schedule, locations of event activations and booths, restrooms, etc.)
- Help with area clean up at the close of event
- Raffle Station
- Answer basic questions on how the raffle works and when winners will be announced
- Help guests place tickets in correct prize containers
- Keep Raffle Station neat and prizes presentable
- Direct guests to Cashier Booth to process payment
- Help draw tickets and verify winner names
- Help with station clean up at the close of event
- Breakfast Bar & Refreshments
- Help set up Breakfast Bar by placing utensils, napkins, beverages, food items, plates, etc., in designated areas
- Greet guests and assist them through service line, as needed
- Serve food items and beverages, following food safety guidelines
- Keep area clean and organized
- Replenish food and beverage items as needed
- Answer basic questions about food and beverage items
- Help with station clean up at the close of event
- Giveaway Distribution
- Greet guests and distribute giveaway items
- Restock table as needed and alert event staff when items need to be restocked
- Keep lines moving
- Direct guests to other event areas once they have collected their item
- Help with station clean up at the close of event
- Arts & Crafts Station (DIY Printed Certificate & Bracelets)
- Welcome guests and explain craft activity
- Provide hand-over-hand support to children or guests who might need extra help
- Monitor use of supplies and tools to ensure items are used safely and appropriately
- Restock supplies as needed
- Keep area cleaned and organized
- Answer basic questions about craft activity as needed
- Help with station clean up at the close of event
- Event Breakdown & Clean-Up
- Collect trash and debris throughout event space
- Assist with tearing down booths, stations, and activity areas
- Stack and store chairs, tables, and equipment as directed
- Other duties as assigned
We ask that volunteers wear comfortable clothing and flat, closed-toe shoes (sneakers recommended). Breakfast items and light refreshments will be provided and, there will be parking on-site for all volunteers!
