Amref Health Africa is inviting mission-minded changemakers to join our Associate Board of Directors (ABD) - a national collective of passionate professionals who are ready to roll up their sleeves and champion health equity across Sub-Saharan Africa.

As an ABD member, you’ll:

Lead with Purpose: Lend your voice, networks, and expertise to advance Amref’s mission of empowering African communities and strengthening health systems.

Build Community: Collaborate with a diverse, committed group of peers across industries who care deeply about global justice.

Advocate and Fundraise: From campaigns to events, you'll play a direct role in raising vital funds and awareness for transformative work on the ground in Africa.

Grow Personally and Professionally: Gain governance experience, sharpen your fundraising and advocacy skills, and deepen your understanding of global health and development.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking U.S.-based professionals (not students) who bring energy, ideas, and a strong commitment to action. Our ABD is a fundraising board — members are expected to:

• Make a personal fundraising commitment of $1,000/year (give/get)
• Attend at least 3 of our 6 annual meetings
• Actively engage your personal and professional network to support Amref’s mission
• Be ready to use your voice — on social media and in your community — to advocate for health equity
