    About the Esperanza Education Fund

The Esperanza Education Fund (EEF) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting immigrant students in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region. EEF provides higher-education scholarships and community support to students regardless of nationality, immigration status, or country of origin.

    Position Overview

This position at EEF is one of several openings on the board. We encourage applicants to additionally consider applying as a Governance Chair, and/or General board positions focused on event planning, communications, and/or community engagement. Please find the full list of available positions at EEF’s Idealist page.

The Development Committee plays a critical role in advancing EEF’s mission by securing the financial resources needed to fund scholarships and program activities. Development Committee Members work closely with the Board of Directors and fellow committee volunteers to cultivate donor relationships, engage community partners, and develop strategic fundraising initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who are highly connected in their professional and personal networks and passionate about supporting immigrant students. In addition to Development Committee Member positions, EEF is hiring for a Governance Chair position, as well as general board members focused on event planning, communications, and community engagement.
