You will get involved in the organization’s day-to-day activities, learning and gaining hands-on experience with a range of tasks associated with operating a nonprofit organization. *While Hola Cultura is a Washington, D.C., organization, candidates do not need to be based in D.C. to be considered.***

    Professional Development & Monthly Stipend

The fellowship is a volunteer position for young professionals and graduate students interested in nonprofit management or related fields. This position provides professional training and hands-on experience advancing the mission and vision of the organization and supporting the success of the SPEL program. Our Storytelling Program for Experiential Learning produces much of the original work published in our online magazine (www.holacultura.com). HolaCultura.com attracts around 10,000 readers each month and works with larger media outlets including the Washington City Paper and WAMU, Washington's NPR station.

The fellow does not need to be based in D.C. and will receive a volunteer stipend of $100 per month. This fellowship does require a 12-month commitment with a minimum of 5 hours of remote work each week.

    Remote Meetings

Hola Cultura is located in Washington, D.C., but conducts most of its operations and its SPEL program remotely. Candidates do not need to be based in Washington to be considered but must be available for our weekly Zoom meeting on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

Application instructions: Send in a resume and a cover letter highlighting your interest and qualifications and outlining how the position could help you advance your own career objectives. Please include 3 to 5 work samples. Applications without cover letters will not be reviewed.

Please submit your resume and cover letter via the form on our Work with Us page.
