Position Summary
The Vice President for Partnerships is a senior volunteer leadership role responsible for building, nurturing, and managing strategic partnerships with other nonprofits, academic institutions, industry organizations, and key cybersecurity stakeholders. This position expands AUSCF’s reach, broadens its impact, and supports collaborative initiatives that align with the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy that supports organizational goals.
- Identify, approach, and cultivate relationships with nonprofits, universities, training programs, companies, and industry associations.
- Negotiate and formalize partnership agreements, MOUs, and collaborative initiatives.
- Maintain regular communication with partners to support joint programming, events, or community initiatives.
- Represent AUSCF at partnership meetings, virtual events, and industry engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (membership, development, government relations, etc.) to align partnership opportunities with organizational needs.
- Track partnership outcomes and provide regular updates to AUSCF leadership.
- Oversee volunteers assisting with partner outreach, research, or project coordination.
Qualifications
- Experience in partnerships, business development, stakeholder engagement, or related roles (volunteer or professional).
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify mutually beneficial opportunities and coordinate cross-organizational initiatives.
- Knowledge of the cybersecurity ecosystem—nonprofits, academic programs, industry groups—is helpful but not required.
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable engaging with leaders across sectors.
