    Description

    Volunteer Intake Specialist / Referral Specialist

    Thosps & Saak Inc. is seeking a Volunteer Intake Specialist / Referral Specialist to support our in-office operations. This volunteer will play a key role in assisting clients during the intake process, connecting them to community resources, and helping them access essential benefits and opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    • Collect and organize required client information and documentation
    • Scan and file client records securely in office
    • Search local and state databases for available resources
    • Compile customized referral lists for each client’s needs
    • Initiate and send referrals to community partners
    • Assist clients with completing online applications for benefits and housing
    • Support clients with resume preparation and job readiness
    • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to trauma-informed practices

    Schedule

    • 1 day per week, 3 hours to start
    • Opportunity to grow to 2 days per week, 3 hours per day
    • Must be completed in-office at Thosps & Saak headquarters

    Qualifications

    • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
    • Comfortable working directly with clients in a supportive role
    • Basic computer skills (email, online forms, scanning, data entry)
    • Compassionate, professional, and committed to confidentiality
    • Experience in social services, customer service, or administrative work is a plus
    • Training provided
