SUMMARY:
The Law Offices of Joel B. Rudin, P.C., is seeking to hire a full-time paralegal to begin June 8, 2026 (or soon after). The firm of six attorneys is well-known for its criminal defense and civil rights advocacy. Our civil rights practice has focused on police and prosecutorial misconduct, including wrongful arrests, prosecutions, and imprisonments. Our criminal defense practice emphasizes trying to overturn wrongful convictions through traditional direct appeals and based upon reinvestigations and new evidence. The firm is also planning to expand into other civil rights areas, such as immigration representation and voting rights, in anticipation of the 2026 midterm elections, and the paralegal will play an important role in these efforts. Our civil and criminal cases usually are complex and involve organizing large amounts of factual material, collaborating with investigators and expert witnesses, and litigating cutting-edge legal issues involving how the criminal justice system functions.
We are seeking a paralegal with an outstanding academic background who is detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple assignments from several attorneys. Strong organizational and writing skills, great attention to detail, an eagerness to learn, and a demonstrated interest in criminal justice or civil rights issues are musts.
