The Captive Advantage (TCA) is committed to strengthening the nonprofit human and social service organizations that support individuals, families, and communities in need. Founded specifically to serve the human and social services sector, TCA provides innovative insurance, risk management, and loss prevention solutions that help mission-driven organizations protect their people, manage costs, and direct more resources toward the communities they serve.

Through its member-owned captive insurance model, TCA helps nonprofit organizations reduce and stabilize insurance costs while improving safety and risk management practices. The model also provides Members with the opportunity to share in favorable financial performance through dividends, creating an additional source of funding that can be reinvested in their organizations and their missions.

TCA Members provide critical services in areas including mental and behavioral health, developmental disabilities, youth and family services, substance use treatment and recovery, residential and community-based care, and other essential human services.
