The Hospice Philosophy is an important one which respects the rights of the patient and their family, while striving to achieve excellence in its set objectives. Providing good physical care, relief of pain and other symptoms during illness without great mental or physical incapacitation is our primary goal. We provide ongoing emotional support to patients and their family caregivers throughout their illness. We respect the patient’s participation as an active family member by enabling him/her to remain at home and by offering services to accommodate family relationships. Through proper education and training, we teach family members to anticipate change in order to reduce apprehension and fear. We also guide them so that they, too may be able to solve problems and alleviate some symptoms for their loved ones. We give assistance to the patient and their family to aid them in working through the grieving process.
