Amedisys Hospice of Masontown

  • Mission

We recognize the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each person. We strive to extend the highest level of courtesy and service to patients/families/caregivers, visitors and each other.

    About Us

Hospice affirms life and views death as a natural process. Hospice exists to support and care for

persons in their last stages of incurable illness, helping them live as fully and comfortably as possible

and enabling them to have a peaceful death with resolution of loss.

Hospice will neither hasten nor postpone death but will help the patient and family reach a degree of

preparation for death that is satisfactory to them, offering appropriate care and support to fulfill

    individual and family needs.

The welfare of each individual patient is the principle reason for the existence of Hospice, and thus

the recognition of the worth of the patient and his/ her family is paramount.

Hospice is dedicated to equal respect for all, regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, sex,

    handicap, or socioeconomic status.

All engaged in Hospice Care, whether professionals or volunteers, must strive to meet the highest

standards of health care and individual caring.

As a community based agency, Amedisys Hospice is committed to providing proper care of the dying

patient and his/her family as well as educating the community on Hospice. Hospice Care is provided

to any patient regardless of their ability/ inability to pay.
