We are a biotechnology company dedicated to the mission of making science accessible to everyone, everywhere. Because our products are more compact and more affordable than standard laboratory tools, we have many users in developing nations that lack the infrastructure needed for cutting-edge scientific facilities. We have a special focus on education, and design curriculum products intended to introduce students to hands-on laboratory science, with the ultimate goal of building a more scientifically literate society. To that end, we partner with Boeing to host a free, annual science contest called Genes in Space, where we invite students to propose biology experiments that address challenges faced by space travelers. One winning experiment is launched to the International Space Station each year.
